Programs: Classes, Workshops, Lessons

MESSAGE TO NEW STUDENTS:  Want to try it before enrolling in an ongoing program? Check out our 1st Saturday COMMUNITY MARIMBA monthly events!  Beginning classes are most likely to develop from these events.

It may also be possible to integrate new players into ongoing classes. Private lessons are required to integrate.  We’ll make a plan that works best for all.

Please add your name to our INTEREST LIST. We’ll plan with you in mind and keep you informed.  If a NEW class is not forming,

1st Saturday
COMMUNITY MARIMBA

EVERY MONTH on the first Saturday from 4 to 6 pm, newcomers and ‘old-timers’ have the opportunity to play together at Fort Collins Marimba Studio.  Each event starts 4pm with a hands-on lesson for newcomers, teaching rhythms and patterns of one simplified beginner piece and how to navigate the marimba. The second hour is led by current and past players who choose more advanced pieces to play together, while experienced players assist newcomers who wish to continue playing. This HANDS-ON experience is probably the best way to give it a try or begin playing!  $10 admission; age 7 and up welcome; beginners should plan to attend 4-5pm but can stay and play with guidance as space permits. No reservations necessary.
